Episode #001: My story of recurrent pregnancy loss, infertility, and pregnancy after loss (with Lindsay Blair)

Since this is the first full episode of the Catalyst for Courage Podcast, I thought it’d be best to just start at the beginning. While this podcast is not about me, my 9 babies in heaven, or my miracle twins here on earth- my story and their story is ultimately why I am here. Our story is why I started Catalyst for Courage and our story is the reason I have so much compassion and empathy for those who are walking through infertility, pregnancy or infant loss, or pregnancy and life after infertility or loss.

Our story is a broken one, and includes an unplanned pregnancy, many miscarriages, 2 ectopic pregnancies that both ended in emergency surgery, the loss of both of my fallopian tubes, IVF, failed embryo transfers, embryo loss, trauma, anxiety, and questioning my faith, a successful embryo transfer, the loss of a triplet in a multiples pregnancy, and a twin pregnancy after loss that resulted in a healthy, full-term delivery of my miracle babies. If your heart's not in a place to hear a story that includes any of these things, I completely support you if you need to skip this episode and just come back next week

I just felt that it was important for me to start here, at the beginning, to tell you my story of how I got here today. I’m honestly nobody special, I truly am just someone like you who has also experienced the pain and brokenness of walking through infertility and loss. My heart in sharing my story with you is that it would help give you hope and lay a foundation for this podcast to be a place where you feel seen, safe, and supported no matter where you are in your journey. My story is proof that we can find courage and hope even in the midst of grief, loss, waiting, doubt, and suffering.
